Pentecostals of Smithfield will have a Spaghetti Dinner on Friday, January 30th  from 11:00 until 2:00 pm. Eat in or take out plates are $7 each. Dinner include meaty spaghetti, salad, bread and dessert. The church is located at 3020 South Brightleaf Boulevard, Smithfield.

Oliver's Grove Baptist Church will have their Annual Soup & Sandwich Sale and Auction on Saturday, January 31st. The meal begins at 4:30 pm and the auction at 6:00 pm. The meal is $5 per plate and is available for take out. Proceeds go towards the building fund. The church is located at 8715 Highway 301 South, Four Oaks.

Stewart's Chapel PFWB Church will have a Valentine Rib Eye Steak DinnerDinner on Saturday, February 7th from 4:30 to 7:30 pm. Plates are $15 and reservations are required. Proceeds will benefit the youth group. The church is located on Devils Racetrack Road, Four Oaks.

Hood’s Grove Baptist WMU will have a Pancake Supper on Saturday, February 7th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the church for a donation. The church is located at 677 Hood’s Grove Church Road, Newton Grove. For more information call 919-894-5977. 

Lanwood Chapel Church will have a Poor Man's Dinner on Saturday, February 7th at 5:00 pm. The menu includes variety of beans, collard, sweet potatos, fried corn bread, biscuits, fat back and assorted desserts. There is no charge but donations will be accepted. The church is located at 3056 Buffalo Road, Smithfield.

The 13th Annual Burnell Baptist Church Wildlife Supper and Auction will be held on Saturday, February 7th. Food will be served at 5:00 pm with the auction to follow. Edgerton Memorial United Methodist Church hosts a free Mental Health Support Group that meets every Monday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. The church is located at 401 West Anderson Street in Selma.

Bethesda Baptist Church invites you to come and experience the excitement of Awana on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 – 8:00 pm. Awana is designed to help churches and parents work together to develop spiritually strong children. At Bethesda, Awana includes ages 2 through through youth as well as Adult Bible Study. LOGOS, a faith-based program of education and fun for children and youth, has launched at Providence Presbyterian Church, 14664 NC Hwy 210 near McGee’s Crossroads. Meetings are from 5:00 to 7:00pm on the first and third Sundays of the month. An adult Bible study meets at 5 p.m. on those Sundays. The Smithfield Church of God's Men's Ministry hosts a Community Breakfast on the First Saturday of each month. A buffet breakfast is served from 8:00am to 9:00am. Burnell Baptist Church on Old School Road near Four Oaks will have Girls In Action (GAs) and Royal Ambassadors (RAs) programs on Sunday nights at 6:00pm for children in 1st-6th grades. Smithfield First Baptist Church is now accepting applications for the 2014-2015 Weekday Early Education Program. The half day classes are for children ages 2 through 4. The Healing Hope Cancer Support Group sponsored by the Stephen Ministry at Mount Zion United Methodist Church holds meetings each month on the third Monday.
